
Keith Bennett is a Journalism and Film Studies graduate from Carleton University and a graduate of Ryerson University’s Media Production masters program. He has a strong background in media production and social media curation. In addition to specializing in photography and video, Keith is experienced in audio engineering and graphic design. He recently released his podcast “Masc’d Up” about homophobia, masculinity, and toxic cultures in men’s pro ice hockey. The podcast was critically acclaimed by CBC Radio Syndication and reached an audience of over 100,000 across all media platforms. In his academic career, Keith focused on writing stories for social change. He is most proud of his writing covering various minority groups to help ensure their voices are heard. Keith has a strong sense of leadership and constantly puts it to the test. He volunteered as a head facilitator for Carleton University fall orientation week and has acted as a mentor for younger journalism students. In his spare time, he can be found out on a hockey rink or at the golf course. While he’ll never make the NHL or PGA, he has been playing and enjoying both sports his entire life. Keith aspires to work in an atmosphere that embraces his creativity in whatever form that may be.
